Indonesian culture is BOOLAO’s inspiration, it has captured our imagination. Bringing to life Indonesia’s traditional patterns, techniques, and motifs, our artisans from the West Java of Indonesia design, weave, and dye our handmade materials into works of art.

We set out to build a company that celebrates the people behind our products. In Sundanese, BOOLAO (bulao) means “blue”, the color of the sky and sea, both represent open space, the imagination, and inspiration. Our collections are combination shades of blue.
